McDavid was the first pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team, became the youngest captain in NHL history and became the youngest player to win the Art Ross Trophy awarded to the NHL's top scorer. McDavid is a three-time winner of the NHL All-Star Skills Competition for fastest skater, a four-time First Team NHL All-Star, a five-time Art Ross Trophy winner, a four-time Ted Lindsay Award winner, a three-time Hart Memorial Trophy winner and the 2022-23 Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy winner as the league's top scorer. Along with Wayne Gretsky, he is the only player in NHL history to have unanimously won the Hart Memorial Trophy as league MVP.
