2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions has a lot to offer. The cards combine modernity and vintage. The product also brings together several Upper Deck brands under one umbrella, including flagship brands Exquisite and Black Diamond. Even the personalities featured in the list come from a variety of fields, sporting and otherwise.

This same variety is found in the contents of Goodwin's Hobby boxes, which contain a mix of inserts and parallels in addition to the basic cards. Each box contains two autographs, memorabilia cards or premium inserts.
The basic set comprises 100 cards and covers a wide range of sports. There are well-known names, but also many promising hopefuls and outstanding players from regions not often represented in sports cards.

The basic design returns for Goodwin Autographs and Goodwin Horizontal Autographs, both available in 1 in 240 packs, as well as Goodwin Memorabilia, available in 1 in 60 packs.
Young Guns, a staple of Upper Deck's flagship range, finds its place in Goodwin Champions, highlighting hopefuls in sports that don't have their own series. With a 1:3 pack ratio, they also take a modest limited-run approach, as in field hockey, where they're harder to find than normal cards, but remain quite accessible.
Parallels include Outburst (1:30 packs), Clear Cut in acetate (1:240 packs), Deluxe (/250), Exclusives (/100), Red Outburst (/25), High Gloss (/10) and Gold Outburst (1/1).
Black Diamond
Upper Deck boasts many high-end brands. While Black Diamond editions are generally rich in traditional hits, the series is also known for its other low-numbered cards and cards containing diamonds. All these cards are included in the contents of the 2025 Goodwin Champions series inserts.
It all starts with the standard Black Diamond cards and the Rookie Gems, both numbered up to 349. They feature red (/100) and green (/10) parallels, as well as autographs on some cards.
Diamond Relics (/99) feature between one and four inlaid diamonds. Imagine a multi-tiered structure where the best athletes have the most bling. Pure Black versions are all unique pieces.
Other Black Diamond-themed cards include Band of Color (/20, Rookies /25) featuring multiple diamonds in different colors, and Gemography Autographs.
Exquisite collection
When it comes to high-end ranges, none in the Upper Deck portfolio is more important than the Exquisite collection. Although it has been the subject of numerous independent editions, it is part of Upper Deck's wider Goodwin 2025 Champions list. That said, it contains some of the best content.
The basic cards of the Exquisite collection are only available in 99 copies, or 149 for rookies. For veterans, Gold parallels, some with autographs, are numbered to 10 copies. Gold Spectrum autographs are unique.
Exquisite Collection Rookie Autographs and Rookie Auto Patch cards are numbered to 99. Gold (/10) and Gold Spectrum (1/1) versions are also available for these cards.
The Exquisite Collection Rookie Auto Tribute (/49) and Rookie Materials Tribute (/25) from 2003-04 hark back to the brand's design origins. The same is true of the Retro Exquisite Collection Rookie Auto Tribute (/49) of 2009-10, which features only the design of Upper Deck's latest Exquisite NBA edition.
Exquisite Signature Kicks combines autographs with sneaker samples linked to the featured athletes.
Goudey Goodness
The iconic Goudey brand has been associated with Goodwin Champions for over a decade. Here, it starts with the standard Goudey inserts, which are modest (1 per 4 packs). Parallels are red (1,933 each), pink (/33) and black (1/1). Successes under this banner include Goudey autographs (1:240 packs), Sport Royalty autographs (1:8,640 packs) and Sport Royalty memorabilia (1:2,400 packs).
An explosion of color
Splash of Color returns for another year in Goodwin Champions 2025. 3D Lenticular inserts also act as Upper Deck Bounty cards. Those who make up the set and save it can obtain an exclusive card not available in the packs. The chances of obtaining these inserts vary between 1 in 30 packs and 1 in 1,200 packs.
Splash of Color autographs (1:180 packs) and Splash of Color memorabilia (1:240 packs) are also available in packs.

The 2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions checklist is much richer in terms of premium content and more common inserts.
In terms of signatures and retro designs, there are 2000 Retro SP Authentic Autographs (/299), 2001 Retro SP Authentic Future Watch Autographs (/299) and 2003-04 Retro SP Authentic Future Watch Autographs, which are available in various editions.
Many of Goodwin's memorabilia cards draw on American history. This includes three different types of Museum Collection cards with either sports relics (1:2 400 packs), letters from Civil War soldiers (1/1) and oversized relics from the USS Midway (1/1).
Goodwin Unsolved Relics, inspired by Robert Stack, focuses on D.B. Cooper (/71).
Birth Year Quad Coinage (/50) contains four coins, all dating from the person's year of birth. The money theme continues with 1925 United States Currency Relics (1:4,800 packets).
A new series of unique Goodwin masterpieces is now available. These cards are similar to trading cards, but with an artistic twist. Art of the Ages offers trading card interpretations of iconic paintings, while Portraits showcase different personalities.
Animal Kingdom Emblems bring a little novelty to Goodwin's patches. They feature five levels of rarity, ranging from 1:80 to 1:3,500 packs.
Other collectible series in the 2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions edition include "The Story of the USS Midway" (1:100 packs), "World Mythology" (1:120 packs) and "Goodwin Cut Signatures Legends of Rock and Roll" (1/1).
