CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS
- The first-ever AEW Skybox Metal Universe product offers an impressive range of iconic cards for AEW fans and collectors in general. The list includes, but is not limited to, 1997-98 Retros, Jambalaya, PMG and Skybox Premium cards.
- The basic set, featuring the biggest names in AEW today, consists of 100 regular cards and 50 SPs (the best of the best). Collect an average of one SP card from the basic set in each pack! There are a variety of interesting parallels: Red PMG (numbered from 100 to 11-100), Green PMG (numbered from 1 to 100 - 1-10) and Gold PMG (numbered 1 on 1) parallels of the complete basic set, and Silver Auto, Green Auto (numbered from 1 to 10) and Gold Auto (numbered 1 on 1) parallels of the regular cards. And don't miss the Printing Plates from the complete basic series.
- The 1997-98 Retros series features 50 AEW stars in the classic 1997-98 Metal Universe design. Each wrestler's card features a unique space-themed background. Collect three cards from this series in each box (on average)! There are also Purple Spectrum parallels (numbered up to 199) and Red, Green and Gold PMGs (same numbering as the basic series PMGs), as well as printing plates, which will be a welcome addition to any collection.
- Collect an average of three cards per box from the Skybox Premium series, another old-school classic. Look out for the Star Rubies (numbered to 50), Star Emeralds (numbered to 10), Star Emeralds Auto (numbered to 10) and Star Diamonds (numbered 1 on 1) parallels, as well as the printing plates!
- Everyone will be clamoring for the ultra-rare Jambalaya cards featuring AEW's most popular wrestlers!
- Not only does the first AEW Skybox Metal Universe edition contain PMG cards and several iconic inserts, but it also features many brand-new, AEW-specific inserts! Here's a sneak preview:
o Bonzo Gonzo: a set of three-sided cut-out cards that capture chaotic moments in (and perhaps outside!) the ring.
o Feeling the Love: this set captures moments where wrestlers and fans interact.
o Technicians: each card features a wrestler performing one of his signature moves.
o The Merch: a set of four-sided die-cut cards imitating T-shirts worn by wrestlers and branded T-shirts.
o Turn Up the Heat: each card depicts a wrestler posing or showing off his muscles, usually before entering the ring.
There is a parallel Gold version of all five sets, limited to just 25 copies, as well as a parallel Auto version of the Feeling the Love and Turn Up the Heat sets!
- Collect two different acetate insert series: Palladium (popular wrestlers) and Hardware (wrestlers who have won one or more titles). Look out for the parallel Gold Spectrum versions of each series, both limited to 25 copies!
- Keep an eye out for Metal-X cards! These rare cards, printed on Rainbow Foilboard with a PETG and Spectrum Deco Foil top layer, and featuring wrestlers loved by fans worldwide, will be a valuable addition to any collection!
