2024-25 Upper Deck Credentials Hockey aims to recreate the experience of attending an NHL game in the form of sports cards. It's not just about the action on the ice. It's also about what you do in the stands. Of course, there are metaphors and some creative freedom, but the end result offers great variety in both card types and styles.

The basic set includes two sections, "Veterans" and "Beginner Ticket Access", which represent the product's beginner cards.

Veterans total 100 cards and feature six levels of parallels:

  • Blue - /299
  • Pink - /99
  • Green - /25
  • Purple - /10
  • Gold - /5
  • Black - 1/1

Some cards also feature autographs, which appear in 1 in 36 packs. They have additional parallels in purple (/10) and black (1/1).

The 50 Debut Ticket Access cards are part of the Credentials series, with direct reference to the fan experience. Like the Panini Contenders and Fleer Authentix of over 20 years ago, their design is inspired by match tickets. The basic versions are numbered to 999 copies. Parallels include:

  • Blue - /399
  • Orange - /199
  • Pink - /50
  • Green - /25
  • Purple - /10
  • Gold - /5
  • Black - 1/1

Debut Ticket Access cards are also available in horizontal versions, in packs with a 1:9 ratio. They are also available in red (/99), pink (/25), purple (/10) and black (1/1).

It's the ticket!
The Debut Ticket Access theme goes beyond the basic series. It includes autographs, all affixed in ink to the card, rather than as stickers.

The basic versions are numbered 299 or 199, depending on the player. Yellow (/85), green (/25), purple (/10) and black (1/1) make up the characteristic rainbow.

Horizontal Debut Ticket Access Autographs are limited to 99 copies each, plus Purple (/15) and Black (1/1) parallels.

Acetate Debut Ticket Access (/199) and Acetate Ticket Access (/99) cards replace traditional gloss paper with a stiffer, more plastic material. They are also available with autographs, none of which is available in more than 99 copies.

This clear theme is repeated in the Acetate Retro Ticket Access (1:240 packs) and Acetate Retro Ticket Access Rookies (1:120 packs) series.

For those looking for more autographs, there are the Retro Ticket Access Autographs series, in 1:160 pack format for veterans and 1:48 pack format for rookies. These feature Gold parallels numbered up to 5.

Additional inserts

The 2024-25 Upper Deck Credentials Hockey checklist includes several additional sets of inserts.

Promotional gifts distributed in arenas are featured in several of them. Die-cut Bobbleheads are limited to 1,000, 500 or 100 pieces, depending on the player. Blue Back parallels are numbered to 25 copies.

Repetitive Head T-shirts (250 copies each) and Hawaiian-print shirts (100 copies each) are other popular collectible gifts. Like the Bobblehead figurines, these items are available in a Blue Back version limited to 25 units.

Other limited inserts include jerseys (750 each), championship rings (400 each) and illustrated Fleer Pro Visions (veterans and rookies - 1:300 packs, legends - 1:600 packs).

Speed of the Game Stars (1:32 packs) and Speed of the Game Rookies (1:11 packs) make their return.

More common inserts are Front Row Talent (1:3 packs), Jumping on the Ice (1:4 packs), Cheered to the Rafters (1:5 packs), That's a Hatty (1:5 packs), Frozen Fight (1:7 packs) and Milestone Pucks (1:7 packs), which use photos showing players with pucks from important moments such as their first goals or hat-tricks. All these cards are accompanied by additional red (/149) and green (/49) parallels. Hard-to-get autographs are also available for some cards.

Ten packs of Upper Deck Credentials Hockey 2024-25 cards will entitle you to an Upper Deck Authenticated autographed jersey. Connor McDavid, Alexis Lafrenière, Nick Suzuki and Shane Wright are the only players on the list.
