Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey 2024-25 cards all have two things in common. Firstly, they are virtually all autographed. Secondly, they are made of acetate, which gives them a transparent appearance and a plastic-like feel.
What a Hobby box contains (on average):
With just one card per box, opening is a snap. And while the list probably includes many stars and other rarities, single-card openings carry an added risk.
Clear Cut starts with a basic set where everything is signed on the card. The design is reminiscent of the flagship 2024-25 Upper Deck Hockey. Here, the cards are divided into three sections: Veterans (1:6 packs), Recruits (1:4 packs) and Great Players (1:75 packs).
Parallels also borrow from the flagship series, with Outburst (/25), High Gloss (/10) and Gold Outburst (1/1).
Upper Deck Hockey also revamps Canvas Signatures (1:13 packs). The Red Ink versions are numbered according to the player's jersey number, while the Gold Ink are unique pieces.
Canvas Rookie Debuts are the only Clear Cut cards without autographs. They are sold in boxes that include an exchange coupon for a second card. Rookie Debuts Signatures are available in 25 copies each, while there is only one Gold Ink version of each.
Crystalline Stars Autos cards make their appearance, with a bolder design. Basic versions are 1:20 packs. Additional parallels are available in red (/35), blue (/10) and gold (1/1).
Also new is the Upper Deck Vintage Autos series (1:16 packs, Greats - 1:120 packs, Rookies - 1:11 packs). Although modern in design, these cards exude a retro feel.
The Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey 2024-25 series includes several sets of retro-designed autograph inserts. One of the most important is the 1997-98 UD Collector's Choice Starquest Autographs series. Other series include 1999-00 Upper Deck Ice Gallery Autos, 2000-01 SPx Xcitement Autos and 2000-01 SP Authentic Power Skaters Autos.
