2023 Elite Extra Edition Baseball is all about prospects. Whether it's cards for the first picks of the 2023 draft, Dominican Prospect League stars or other players on the international scene, prospecting takes many forms on the checklist.
At the hobby level, it's also all about autographs, with eight signatures in each box of five. They are accompanied by a pair of Memorabilia cards.
The base set lays the foundations for much of the checklist. It features top-10 players such as Paul Skenes, Dylan Crews, Jacob Wilson and Chase Dollander. Standard cards give way to basic signatures, which retain the same general design. Collectors can look forward to many parallels, both in the basic cards and in the autographs.
Other autograph themes include two that also include samples, the Future Threads signatures and the Epic Prospect Materials signatures.
The first-round material is one of the commemorative items in the series.
The checklist also includes regular inserts, providing even more options for key prospects. These include Higher Learning, Future Star Status and university-themed Spellbound inserts.
