2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey is one of the sport's leading annual collections. With over two decades of history, the checklist is highlighted by Future Watch, one of the best subsets of rookie cards in the entire hobby.

Autographs are another benchmark, with two per box. Collectors will also find numerous inserts and parallels.

What's in a Hobby box (on average):

• Future Watch autographs - 1
• Additional autographs - 1
• Collaborations, Freshman Focus or Maximum Performance - 10 in all
• Pageantry - 4
• Pageantry Red - 1
• Spectrum FX Bounty - 1
• Additional numbered or "rare" inserts - 1
• Red Parallels - 10

The SPA starts with a basic 200 cards, evenly divided between veterans and rookies.

For confirmed stars, there are three basic levels of parallels that fall into the Limited category:

• Red - 1:2 packs
• Gold - /99
• Black - 1/1

Selected cards also feature Limited autographs, which combine to make up 1:60 packs, and Limited Auto materials, which have no more than 100 copies each.

The rookies are all part of the Future Watch subset, whose basic versions are numbered up to 999. Most, but not all, are autographed. In fact, Future Watch autographs are one of two signatures on each hobby box.

Rookies have their own range of limited parallels, although these are not autographs:

• Red - 1:2 packs
• Blue - /399
• Green - /199
• Gold - /99
• Black - 1/1

Other Future Watch autograph variants include Horizontal, Auto Patch (/100) and Horizontal Auto Patch (/100 or less).

Additional autographs and inserts

A large part of SP Authentic's appeal lies in its tradition. This is reflected in some of its other autograph sets, which have a long history.

Sign of the Times tops the list. The single-signature cards are 1 for every 32 packs. But there are also cards with two (/25), three (/15), four (/10), six (/6) and even eight (/5) players. Sign of the Times Rookies cards are hard to find, with a frequency of 1 per 864 packs.

Marks of Distinction (/25), Chirography (1:160 packs) and UD Authentics Autographs (1:60 packs) also make a comeback. UD Authentics also offers autographed patch cards numbered up to 49.

Further signatures are available in Curated Signatures, Signature Handles (1:10 packs) and Telemetry Autographs (1:120 packs).

On average, each pack of 2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey should contain one standard insert. Pageantry is one of the most common, with a frequency of 1:3 packs. Although they have no basic parallels, some cards feature autographs (1:60 packs).

Freshman Focus is also available in 1:3 packs. These cards, along with Collaborations (1:5 packs) and Maximum Performance (1:5 packs), have blue and green parallels.

Other inserts include Future Icons (/399), Holofoils (1:160 packs) and Legends Holofoil (1:160 packs).

SP Authentic Hockey 2024-2025 bounty program

The final insert in the 2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey checklist is Spectrum FX. These cards also act as UD Bounty cards, offering rewards to those who take up and complete the challenge of making up the complete set.

The packs contain 91 different Spectrum FX cards. They are classified into different levels of rarity: Veterans - 1:10 packs, Future Watch Level 1 - 1:20 packs, Level 2 - 1:42 packs, Level 3 - 1:160 packs.

Everyone who completes the series and registers on the UD Bounty website receives nine cards not in the packs, bringing the series to 100 cards.

The first 50 people to do so also receive a full Spectrum FX Gold parallel set (/50) plus a special bonus.
