2024-25 SP Hockey is one of the most affordable products of the season. Intended primarily for retail sale, the checklist is straightforward and doesn't feature many frills and gimmicks. Yes, there are inserts and tracking elements, but the checklist is refreshingly small compared to virtually any other modern release.
The trade-off? Hits are rare if that's your thing, and they're certainly not present in every blaster.
What to expect from a hobby box:

- Blue Parallels - 8
The basic set comprises just 140 cards. The first 100 are veteran stars. The remaining 40 are part of the SP Rookie Authentics subset, numbered 1,199.
All cards have blue parallels, averaging one per pack. Rookies have additional versions in patterned cardboard (1:50 packs), gold patterned cardboard (1:200 packs), red (/99), green (/25) and black (1/1).
Some of the rookies also have jerseys (1:40 packs), signatures (1:480 packs) and Gold signatures (/25).
Authentic Profiles (/550) are the only other standard inserts on the list. They contain additional cards of the best stars. Parallels are similar to those for rookies, with blue (1:5 packs), patterned cardboard (1:200 packs), gold patterned cardboard (1:800 packs), red (/49), green (/10) and black (1/1).
Tough Jersey (1:640 packs) and Signatures (1:2,880 packs) round off the range.
More autographs are available in the Authentic Signatures version. That said, at a scale of 1:1,600 packs, they're not easy to come by.
