2024 Upper Deck AEW Allure Hobby Box
Release date: 2025-01-22
Box of 8 packs
Pack of 8 cards
After a year's absence, chrome wrestling cards return to the AEW ring. 2024 Upper Deck Allure AEW features not only color but also several bold (some might even say extravagant) insert themes. While traditional hits are rarer in this product, collectors should find parallels and inserts in more hobby packs to go with the regular base cards.
What to expect from a hobby:
- AE DUB, Aerial, Crowd Reaction or This Is Awesome - 5 Total
- Color Flow - 8
- Parallels - 8
- Serial-Numbered Cards or Rare Inserts - 2
- Base Short Prints, In Action or Straps - 8 Total
The main set starts with 100 standard cards. From here, we move on to SPs (1:4 packs) and horizontal SPs (1:4 packs).
Each of these levels has a similar assortment of parallels:
- Black Rainbow - 1:4 packs, SP - 1:15 packs
- Red Rainbow - 1:7 packs, SP - 1:26 packs
- Orange Slice - 1:16 packs, SP - 1:64 packs
- Steel Chair - 1:72 packs, SP - 1:288 packs
- Crimson - 1:144 packs, SP - 1:576 packs
- AEW Logo - /199
- Green Rainbow - /99
- Black and Blue - /35
- Purple Diamond - /10
- Golden Treasures - 1/1
Retail blaster boxes are the only place to find Glitter Bomb parallels. Basic cards are 1:4 packs, while SPs are 1:16 packs.
Selected cards also benefit from signed versions with red autographs (1:52 packs), purple diamond autographs (/10) and golden treasure autographs (1/1).
Inserts
When it comes to inserts, one of Allure's calling cards is Color Flow. Rainbow is part of the modern enthusiast's vocabulary, and usually refers to a card's many parallels in a particular product. Color Flow takes the idea of parallels one step further. Build the complete set for any wrestler, and the cards build a puzzle that moves seamlessly through the full spectrum of ROYGBIV colors.
Color Flow versions include:
- Red-Orange - 1:2 packs
- Orange-Yellow - 1:4 packs
- Yellow-Green - 1:8 packs
- Green Blue - 1:12 packs
- Blue-Purple - 1:24 packs
At the end of the proverbial rainbow lies a unique Golden Treasures version.
Collectors should find two copies of In Action and Straps per box. The parallels are similar to those of the basic series, including a few autographs.
Aerial (1:5 packs) highlights AEW's high-flying pilots, projecting them against a cloudy backdrop. Parallels include Green Rainbow (/99), Purple Diamond (/10) and Golden Treasures (1/1). Some also have autographs, which is difficult for 1:800 packs.
Other common inserts include AE DUB (1:7 packs), Crowd Reaction (1:8 packs) and This Is Awesome (1:8 packs). Both have the same parallels as Aerial.
The 2024 Upper Deck Allure AEW checklist also contains short-run inserts, including Allure Quartz (1:81 packs) and Mox (1:689 packs).
According to Upper Deck, Doubloons, which use an intricate gold pattern, are a real hit.
The same goes for 16 Bit, which offers pixelated looks at superstars as if from a 1990s video game.
