SP Game Used 2024-25 puts souvenirs front and center. Sure, there are jerseys and other standard products, but the checklist goes further with pieces of pucks, sticks, cord cuts and more. To take it a step further, there are numerous cards from some of the NHL's most important events, such as the Stanley Cup, the All-Star Game and many others.
What to expect from a hobby box:

- Basic cards, authentic basic recruits or new grooves - 3 in all
With "Game Used" in the name, this is clearly a hits-intensive edition. The nine-card boxes (compared with six cards in 2023-24) contain a total of four premium cards, including autographs, memorabilia and technical inserts.
One of the biggest changes to the checklist this year is the basic set. For some time, standard base cards have been among the product's continuing elements, each limited to the player's jersey number. This time around, Upper Deck takes a more traditional approach.
The first 100 cards are standard base cards, featuring the top stars. They are distributed one per pack. They are joined by 82 Authentic Rookies, which come in 1:1.25 packs. So, instead of just one basic card, most boxes have at least two such cards.
Parallels include:
- Red - 1:2 packs, Authentic Rookies - 1:2.5 packs
- Gold - /149
- Rainbow - numbered to the player's jersey number like base cards from past years
- Purple - /5
- Green - 1/1
Rookies also have Crystal versions.
Selected base cards and Authentic Rookies also have a variety of autograph and souvenir combinations.
Event-specific Memorabilia cards
Let's face it, the majority of today's products come with commemorative cards. However, most of them come with a disclaimer assuring you that there's no way of knowing where the samples came from. In some cases, it's even questionable whether the player in question actually came into contact with the piece. The 2024-25 SP Game Used Hockey card checklist has several places where collectors will know exactly what's on the card and where it came from.
First, there are the Heritage Classic, Winter Classic and Stadium Series uniforms. There are also NHL All-Star Mascot Fabrics cards. All these series have Patch parallels numbered to 35 and Logo Patch cards in only two copies each.
Heavy-duty pucks and net cords are also available to commemorate these events. Stanley Cup net cords (/35) are also available.
The Banner Year relics are back for another year. Instead of clothing worn by players or equipment used by them, these relics take pieces of the banners hung for a variety of NHL events such as the All-Star Game, Stanley Cup Finals and World Series.
NHL Draft Swag (/100) uses a variety of items worn by players shortly after their names are announced. The parallels are hats (/25) and ties (/10).
Relics, autographs and additional inserts
Field hockey 2024-25 SP Game Used has no shortage of additional autographs and commemorative cards.
Draft Day Marks are back. These cards feature signed patches that can be used to spell out the player's name. Similar Hall of Fame Marks are also available. Cards in both series are numbered to 35.
Glove Relics websites make their appearance. Numbered up to 15, they feature samples of goalkeeper gloves used in matches.
Supreme Patches (/15), Supreme Materials (/15) and Rookie Jumbo Patch (/25) all go with oversized memorabilia.
Other hits on the list include Frame Works (1:36 packs), Rookie Sweaters (/299), Inked Rookie Sweaters (/99), Inked Sweaters (/35) and Stick to It (/25).
New Grooves (1:5 packs) is one of two sets of standard inserts. There are red (1:10 packs), gold (/99), rainbow (/10), purple (/5) and green (1/1) parallels. As with the basic set, there are also a variety of autograph and memorial versions.
The Visible Spectrum (1/12 packs) is the product's final set of inserts. There is only one parallel, White, which is numbered to 10.
