2024-25 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey is the third and final release under the company's flagship banner. Updated players, an expanded list of inserts and, of course, more Young Guns make up the checklist.




Collectors will find plenty of variety in each hobby box, with a breakdown that should allow for several inserts or parallels in each pack.

What to expect from a hobby box (on average):

  • Beehive, Pros and Prospects or Upper Deck Encore - 8 in all
  • Blue Dazzlers - 1
  • Oracles - 2
  • Rookie Reflections, Silver Skates or UD3 - 8 Total
  • Triple Dimensions Reflections - 2
  • UD Canvas - 4
  • Parallèles Outburst - 1
  • Young shoots or 1st round recruits - 6 in total
  • Clear Cut, UD Canvas Black and White, Rare or SSP Oracles - 1 Total

The basic set increases sets 1 and 2 by a further 250 cards. This brings the complete Upper Deck Hockey 2024-25 checklist to 750 cards in total. The first 200 slots are reserved for veterans, some of whom are members of new teams. The remaining 50 cards are a mix of Young Guns and Round 1 Rookies. These are short draws that arrive every other pack.

Inserts

A number of Series 1 and 2 inserts are also included. This includes more UD Canvas cards, of which there are four per hobby box. In addition to the standard cards, there are Young Guns, Legends and NHL All-Stars subsets. UD Canvas has black and white parallels and printing plates.

Dazzlers also continue. Hobby packs contain blue (1:12) and pink (1:72) versions plus unique printing plates. Blaster packs contain green Dazzlers (1:4).

Oracles (1:8 packs) make their appearance, inspired by tarot cards. SP (1:30), SSP (1:45) and Rares (1:180) cards add to the challenge of this set.

Like other recent Extended Series releases, many other inserts draw on Upper Deck's past portfolio, reprising brands that may not have full releases today. These include Pros and Prospects (1:4 packs), Beehive (1:5 packs), UD3 (1:5 packs, Gold - /333), Upper Deck Encore (1:5 packs), and Trilogy Rookie Premiere (Common - /999, Uncommon - /499, Rare - /99).

There are also Triple Dimensions Reflections. The basic versions (1:6 packs) are joined by Ruby (/500), Amethyst (/300), Emerald (/100), Gold (/50) and Sapphire (/10) parallels.

Silver Skates are also back for another year. Basic versions are 1:4 packs, while Gold versions are numbered to 250.
