2023-24 Upper Deck Engrained Hockey Hobby Box

Hobby boxes include an autograph plus two additional shots from signatures, memorabilia or premium inserts made on wood or metal.

What you can expect from a hobby box:

• Autograph Signature Shots - 1
• Additional autographs, Memorabilia cards, Carved in Time or ElectroCast - 2 Total
• Synthesis or Base Parallel /49 or less - 1 Total
• 2022-23 or 2023-24 Rookie - 1 Total
• Veteran or Legends Base Card - 1 Total

The oak-themed base set has a total of 200 cards. But there are also a handful of subsets. Sixty-five veterans (/349) are followed by 35 Legends cards (/299). The 2023-24 rookies (/399) total 65 cards. Lost years are replaced by 25 2022-23 Rookie Update cards and 10 2021-22 Rookie Update cards numbered up to 299.

The 2021-22 cards are bonus cards in the hobby boxes, giving a total of seven cards instead of the usual six.

Parallels include different types of wood: ebony (/49), mahogany (/10) and rosewood (1/1). Veterans and legends also have white birch (/20).

In addition, there are a variety of hit-based parallels for certain cards:

• Mahogany Premium Memorabilia Autographs
• Rosewood Autographs (1/1)

One of the autographs in each hobby box is a Signature Shots autograph. These autographs use a carbon-fiber piece for the signature area, rather than being affixed directly to the card or with a typical sticker.

Standard Veteran Signature Shots and Legendary Signature Shots both have red (/10) and blue (1/1) parallels. Rookie Signature Shots have four levels of rarity, with print runs ranging from 299 to 49. Available parallels are red (/99 or less), green (/75 or less) and blue (1/1).

The checklist also includes the 2022-23 Rookie Update Signature Shots, which have a similar configuration and print run to the 2023-24 rookies. Complete Sticks (/25) and Complete Sticks Signatures (/25) come with three stick parts, all from different parts.

Clutch Components, which have both signed and unsigned versions, have a sample stick and glove.

Other autographed inserts and memorabilia in the 2023-24 Upper Deck Engrained Hockey checklist include remnants (packs of 1:6), Flexures autographs (packs of 1:25), signature remnants, honorary engravings (/100), rare remnants (/25), branded materials (/15), Tandem twigs (/5), stick nameplates (1/1), double stick nameplates (1/1) and distinctive marks (1/1).

2023-24 Upper Deck Engrained Hockey features three additional sets of inserts, each using a different type of material. Carved in Time (1:5 packs) is made on wood using laser engraving. Autographs are 1:30 packs.

Metal is the ElectroCast base (1:3 packs). Signed versions using paint pens fall every ten packs, and gold parallels are numbered up to 15.

Synthetics (1:2 packs) use plexi material. Parallels include Red (1:10 packs) and Blue (1:30 packs), while autographs are 1:30 packs. Red Ink autographs are also available.
