2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week Hobby Box
Release date : 2024-07-31
Box of 20 packs
Pack of 6 cards
Once again taking a thematic approach to the long-running series, 2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week Edition trading cards turn to the most horrific elements found in the TV series.
Each Hobby box contains an average of one autograph and one additional hit, which can be an autograph, sketch card or printing plate. Like most of UD's non-sports sets, this set should also be distributed as an ePack.
Like the initial 2019 release of Upper Deck X-Files UFOs and Aliens, the base set totals 300 cards. In fact, UD has revealed that the 2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week edition is the second part of the overall 900-card base set formed with a subsequent trading card product for The X-Files.
To add a little more spookiness to the series, the Monsters in the Attic parallels are glow-in-the-dark cards.
Collectors can also find several sets of inserts, including characters depicting some of the scariest creatures and those around them, 100 sticker cards, The X-Files Pilot Script, which literally presents the original pilot as a set of 58 cards, and Earth's Most Wanted, a set designed in the style of the "Most Wanted" posters. The X-Files Pilot Script Short Print (SP) cards, featuring a relentless chase, are printed one per case.
Offering some of the franchise's biggest names, including Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson), there are several signed inserts in the 2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week checklist. Subjects include cast members as well as the show's producers and creators.
The main autograph set in the Monsters of the Week edition retains the UFOs and Aliens Paranormal Script name, with single and double editions. Each Hobby box should contain an autographed card.
Limited inscriptions, printing plates (1/1) and Autograph cards from The X-Files pilot script (#/25) offer rare choices to hunt for.
Hand-drawn Sketch cards are also available.
